"Nwata riee ihie o ji amụ anya, ya ehie ụra."
'When a child gets to eat the delicacy he longs for and for which he stayed up, he can then sleep soundly'.
Have you ever seen an eager child anticipating something with delight - (think Christmas eve)? The anticipation overshadows everything else. "Who needs sleep when there's Turkish delight?!"
Well when the child has finally eaten it, there's no more reason to keep awake. Longing and satisfaction works similarly, for adults as well. The fascination with what you desire so much can keep you from other important things, so go on - do the year abroad or whatever it is that you desire, then you can enjoy the satisfaction and get on with life! Yes, when a child eats the much anticipated delicacy for which he has stayed up, it(he/she) can then sleep soundly!
